Leading manufacturer Drakes Pride has broken new ground with the release of a brand new range of bowls.

The Liverpool-based company launched the "Jazz" bowls line at the beginning of May - and the early feedback from customers has been exceptionally positive.

The new bowls feature a bias that is marginally stronger than that of Drakes' hugely successful "Professional" bowl, enabling it to produce a consistent finish to the jack time and time again.

However, rather than simply being a tweaked or slightly adjusted version of the "Professional", the "Jazz" is a whole new bowl in its own right and one which has been produced using complex mathematics and geometry.

A number of world rankings bowlers have also been involved in the manufacture of the new bowls - including former World Indoor Singles champion Robert Weale and new world No.2 Mark Royal - and the combined sum of all of these efforts have resulted in producing a bowl which delivers a highly-consistent finish and which performs to spectacularly high standards.

Mike Eggington, CEO of Drakes Pride, commented: "The initial response from players has been very exciting and we are expecting this particular model to prove extremely popular, both indoors and out.

It has been in production for roughly two years, from concept to completion and it goes without saying that we are delighted with the finished product."

The bowls come in the full range of Drakes' 12 available colours and are available in sizes 00 to 5.
