It is fair to say that, of all the debates that rage amongst bowlers up and down the country, there are few that divide opinion so much as the argument over who “Britain’s Best Ever Bowler” is. That’s why we at Nationwide Bowler have decided enough is enough - it’s time to formally crown “Britain’s Best Ever Bowler” and we need YOUR help to do it!

We would like you to nominate the three players you think are “Britain’s Best Ever Bowlers”, with the first being the best and third being the third best.

After the closing date for entries - which is May 31, 2010 - every vote will be counted with players picked first getting ten points, players picked second getting five points and those picked third getting two points. All the points will then be added together and the player will the most points overall will be crowned “Britain’s Best Ever Bowler”.

Bear in mind, though, the players thatwe have highlighted do not represent a definitive short-list. No, so long as your favourites conform to the criteria listed in the rules (over the page and adjacent to the entry form) then you can choose whoever you like. And just to give you an added incentive, we’re stumping a prize for one lucky reader. That’s right, if your top three exactly matches the final top three, you will go into a prize draw, with the first person drawn at random winning a pair of bowls shoes and a bowls bag of their choice!
